Springtime in Big Bear is a refreshing time of year with wildflowers in bloom, the scent of fresh pine trees and joyous songs sung by a variety of resident birds. This is the time of year to get out and explore the trails by foot, mountain bike or horseback.

Additionally, early spring skiing and tubing conditions are still good. Obviously, be sure to check the slope conditions beforehand.

If you are looking for more seasonal activities, fishing would be a good choice. Big Bear Lake is famous for Rainbow Trout and they begin spawning in April.

Finally, the Big Bear Farmer’s Market opens in early April and has a vast selection of local fruits, vegetables and flowers.
